There are several reasons why anyone would want to sell their furniture.

They are leaving Singapore and it wouldn’t be feasible to take those bulky items along with them.
They have moved to a new home and the present furniture won’t fit or won’t suit the new place.
They’re upgrading their furniture and do not see the need to retain their old pieces.
However, the notion of selling and buying of 2 nd hand goods is not well established in Singaporeans. Here is some advice for sellers:

Don’t expect high prices! (Used goods dealers usually take back between 1% to 10% of your initial purchase price). As furniture is considered wear-and tear items, they cannot be regarded as items of investment! When you buy the furniture you didn’t ask yourself “I wonder how much I can sell this item in a few years time”
Whatever you’re selling, ask yourself would you want that in your house? If you wouldn’t, why would anybody else want them?
Restoration of furniture is not cheap! – reupholstery usually cost somewhere between 300 to 1500 dollars! Therefore sellers have to be fair to used goods dealers. They are there to earn a living as well.
In Singapore, warranties for electrical goods seldom extend beyond the original owner. Buyers will often be worried that the washing machine etc. will breakdown leaving expensive repairs. This is reflected in the low prices offered for secondhand electrical goods.
Transportation is quite expensive, so even if you offer to give it away you may get no takers due to the cost and hassle of moving the stuff.
Disposal of bulky items

we onli did a little bit touch up as in singapore the labour cost is high, not worth it if we fe furnish the whole furniture.. the item arrived as it was, almost original condition, so our price is enough to cover our cost. as u can c all my furniture is as good as new, we tend to buy high in prices from my clients. we try our best to source for the best conditioned furniture which can be reused at no worries, as u know people tend to have this mindset tat used furniture is dirty, ir-reusable, bad conditioned, so our aim is to educate Singaporeans to reused used furniture as to reduce wastage, n as well as to go green to protect the environment!!!

Haha, you are quick to promote your firm. From my earlier post on used furniture http://interiordecora.com/15/tips-on-buying-second-hand-wood-furniture/,
I did mentioned that there old furniture such as cupboards, cabinets and unit can be given a new lease of life with paint, stain and other interesting finishes.
Would you like to elaborate on the technique of finishing for used furniture?

different wood needs different finishes .. different usage of that furniture also requires different finishing... all these knowledges r easily found online.... one thing i wana emphasize is the 3 Rs of enviormental conservation ..Reduce , Reused N Recycle...... by REUSING furniture you r actually rducing WASTE, n redefining new lives to the furniture, thus recycling.. So let us build a Better world now together by preserving our enviorment...
