There has to be one dramatic element in a room to draw attention. This is call focal point. It maybe a distinctive architectural element such as a fireplace, a built in cabinet, a staircase or even an entry door in a foyer. If a room does not have a focal point, then you can create one by using furnishing. This could be a beautifully decorated bed, large central seating group ,massive table, wall art or cabinets!
