Paint primers are often not appreciated for what they can do. Paint primers are really important because they reduce the possibility of problems that are not only present now  but in the future. Let me share with you the advantages of using  paint primers.

Paint primers has the ability to stick to a surface. For example, a finish latex or oil based paint will not be able to stick to plastic laminate or ceramic tile. Using suitable primer can resolve these problem.

Because some surfaces are very absorbent, coating them with a layer of paint primer can prevent the finish paint from seeping in. For example, if there are two coats of finish paint on a wood paneling, the first coat only acts to partially seals the surface. Using paint primer will prevent this problem.

Paint primer will make paint adhere better to them than a finish paint. Also paint primer can stick to  surfaces which are of bad condition and need reconditioning. By doing so, another layer of finish paint can be applied over the paint primer.

Paint primers are also capable of blocking a wide variety of stains. Some primers are excellent at blocking water stains from bleeding through finish coat.
