The dinning room is not just a room dedicated to eating. It is also a place whereby the family and guests gather around. At first glance, a dinning room seems to be the easiest of all to furnish. Most likely, you will need draperies, lighting to go well with the rest of the furnishings.
Ask yourself these questions when furnishing your dinning room:
-do you entertain often?
-does your dinning room serve many other multiple functions?
-what is your budget and space constraints?
-do you have any storage and display cabinets?
-how many seats do you need?
-what is your colour scheme?
-What is the wall treatment and lighting requirement for the dinning room?
These are some of the factors that should be taken into considerations when planning and designing. Having a good dinning area could add to the character of the whole house. Do not be afraid of constraints as they can be easily overcome with careful planning and creativity!
