The front door of any house and building is considered as one of the key feature. A door to any house, apartment or room serve as a visual focal point before you enter.
How the door looks, feel and works are key to the way it blends in with the surrounding interior design. A door also give a first impression to what the space will feel like for the visitor.
What is the first thing that you notice in a door design? You must have guess it. The size of the door is the thing that captivated your attention when you first appoach it. Size of a door is also dependable on the function of the space. For example, a warehouse door will be large and width to allow for the passage of goods and machinery.
In tropical houses, it is common to see door designed as a louvred panel to allow for the flow of air so as to cool the building. Doors designed for important public rooms are usually massive, heavy and decorative in nature. Most probably, they have a wide architrave and moulded panelling.
