Together with the main focal point of a room, secondary ones should also be taken into consideration when planning the decoration of a room. What are the important factors that must be taken into consideration then?
-an empty space; a window or opening to the exterior, especially if it is a good light source or offers an attractive view
-a hearth, which more than often attracts attention. The surrounding spaces have to be treated in accordance with the level of consistency or contrast we wish to create with the remaining spaces
-A good idea would be to use painting or mirror as a secondary focal point together with the main focus point. You can also choose to use a piece of furniture or an artistic object to override the functionality of the room to give it a better atmosphere for social interaction.
Do take note that when planning a room, the greatest harmony should be sought between the main and secondary focal points. This is crucial to the sucess of your decoration!
