Do you know that a piece of furniture can be made good with just a throw?
By just simply throwing a length of fabric and allowing it to fall naturally into folds or gathers is perhaps the simplest way of covering furniture. Blankets, shawls or quilts can be mixed against each other and displayed against a backdrop of bleached white cotton first draped over the furniture. Large pieces of cloth can be handkerchief-knotted on their corners or around the legs of the chair.
To make a very simple throw, sew together two pieces of fabric, as though you were making a cushion. You can add layer of wadding or interlining between them and when turned right side out, secure the opening by hand.
