What to do before hanging your wall paper?

Before you get down to hanging your wallpaper, here are some of the rules that you should follow.

Make sure that all woodwork are painted and dry, and walls and ceilings should be clean, dry and smooth. Check the walls and ceilings to ensure that there are no uneven filler or rough areas where any old wallcovering has been removed. Also, try to rub down the rough areas with medium glasspaper if neccessary.

You will have to adjust the size of the wall paper if the ceiling or walls have been newly plastered. This is to prevent too much of the wall paper from being absorbed by the plaster and weakening the adhesion of the paper.

Finally, set up your pasting table and place it under a window facing the light. so that you will be able to see where you have pasted it. Do ensure that all the surface of the pasting table is dry and clean before pasting.
