Laminate flooring is great when you know that you need to install a wood finish at a traffic heavy location. To understand laminate flooring, we must know how they are made. Laminate is made from paper impregnated with melamine, an organic resin. It is bonded to a core of particleboard, fiberboard, or other wood byproducts. It can be laid over any form of  subflooring surface like concrete and wood. If you already have an existing ceramic, wood or vinyl tiles flooring, do not worry as laminate flooring can be applied on them as well. 

When installing laminate flooring, you will require sheets of special foam underlayment followed by careful placement, cutting and gluing of the laminate. The installation of laminate flooring is a relatively quick and easy process. Laminates come in planks, squares and blocks which offer greater design flexibility!

However, be reminded that proper care of laminate flooring is required. Constant vacuuming and occasional damp-mopping is required to ensure the durability of your laminate flooring.
